A lot of people often overlook the importance of having stock in their wheelbarrows when they are setting up shop. Many people still think it's not necessary, but I can't stress enough how crucial wheelbarrows are when you start out or run out of room in your truck. They help to carry materials throughout the house, prevent injury during trading days (when you buy your goods), and also help to move goods without time-consuming trips outside like wheeling it down your driveways. I would say at least fifty percent of my trading days are spent carrying materials from the garage into the house. There is just something about those large bulky items that makes me want to pull out my hair. I now have a Poulan Pro Wheelbarrow that I carry throughout the house, and often times the storage area in the basement. Sometimes it gets a little tough pushing a wheelbarrow full of goods, but if you take a few precautions you should be fine. First off, try to push inside as much as possible. When you have to carry goods from outside, make sure it's not during peak hours for your trade day or when you're tired. Also, try to carry them in a way that allows you to stand straight. Don't bend your back over, and instead try to lean on the side of the wheelbarrow. I often face my wheelbarrow on the way outside and then turn it around once I get on the driveway for easier pushing. This is just one of many ways I've learned to make my trade days a little easier... It's safe to say my favourite tool has got to be a handsaw. It's essential in most trades, and although they may not always look appealing or very resourceful, they are a great tool for a wide range of projects. When you decide to use a handsaw, you need to make sure it has the ability to cut cleanly and accurately. You can do this by making some simple adjustments that really allow the saw to function like a well-oiled machine. When you're working as a carpenter, these adjustments can mean the difference between staying in business and landing in prison! So, sit down before you start cutting anything, put on your safety glasses, and just think about what kind of cuts you're going to be making. The first thing that I always check when I'm using a handsaw is that it's securely fastened into place. You want your saw blade to be parallel across the teeth because this allows for the best cut possible. You can accomplish this by placing a piece of tape on the top side edge of the frame and securing it on the bottom with a black marker. Your saw frame will now be straight and easy to read, making it easier to adjust. Next, you want to make sure that all of your teeth are pointing forward. For some saws, this is as simple as flipping around the blade backwards. With others, you can use a file to sharpen each tooth individually so they all go in one direction. This way they will cut straight through whatever material you have dangling off that saw blade! The most important adjustment for a good cutting handsaw is to set the depth of the blade into the frame correctly. 79cfa1e7782014
